Predator from Planet Dyploon

I've made this insect for my final year project at Teesside University. This is a wild predator insect from the planet Dyploon, which is the world I'm creating for my project. Initially I didn't know in which direction to go and for that this animals will be designed for. From the initial thumbnails I have chosen for further iterations 2 creatures which were basically opposites, I also make color variations for both. In the end I decided to go with the predator looking insect because I wanted to make a 3D base and i thought that this creature would look much better in 3D.
